Jessica Hische is a lettering artist, an illustrator, and she’s designed and released several commercial typefaces. She’s also worked for clients like the New York Times, Apple, McSweeny’s, the musician Beck, and the filmmaker Wes Anderson. As if that weren’t enough, she’s also an author. Her picture book, Tomorrow I’ll be Brave, was a New York Times best seller. She now has a brand new book out titled Tomorrow I’ll be Kind.
On this episode a conversation with Jessica about her career, especially after having kids. “I noticed it with my daughter, when I came back to work after her, even just posting too much about her on Instagram all of a sudden all of my client work dried up.”
